Vincitrice del Premio 2024
Mi chiamo Lena, sono francese e dopo una triennale all’Université de Nantes ho deciso di fare un servizio civile in un ONG franco-burkinabè ad Avignone per avvicinarmi al mondo della cooperazione. Questa prima esperienza mi ha portata a proseguire i miei studi all’Università di Torino nella magistrale in Area and Global Studies for International Cooperation. Durante il semestre primaverile del secondo anno di corso, ho vinto la borsa di studio e ricerca UNI.COO, che mi ha permesso di andare in Senegal per fare un tirocinio presso l’ETS CISV, e allo stesso tempo svilluppare una ricerca per la mia tesi. Mi sono laureata a marzo 2024 con una tesi intitolata Women’s design of alternative spaces of socio-economic economic existence: the case study of the Rotating, Saving, and Credit Associations in the city of Louga, Senegal. Mi sono sempre interessata ai meccanismi di genere e di disugualianze, ed è per quello che, prima ancora di laurearmi, quando sono venuta a conoscenza del Premio Bianca Pomeranzi, mi sono candidata subito. Infatti, è per me una grande opportunità post-laurea di crescita personale e lavorativa.
My name is Lena, I am French, and after I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Nantes, I decided to engage in a civic service to get closer to the international cooperation sector. More precisely I worked in a French Burkinabe NGO dedicated to economic empowerment for women. This first experience led me to pursue my studies in the master’s degree in Area and Global Studies for International Cooperation at the University of Turin. During the second year, I won the UNI.COO scholarship for research, and had the opportunity to spend three months in Senegal. During my stay there, I did both an internship with the ETS CISV, and I developed the research for my master’s thesis. I graduated in March 2024 with a thesis entitled: Women’s design of alternative spaces of socio-economic economic existence: the case study of the Rotating, Saving, and Credit Associations in the city of Louga, Senegal. As I always was deeply interested in gender and inequalities, as soon as I heard about the Premio Bianca Pomeranzi, I applied for it represents a great post-graduate opportunity, both for my own growth, as well as for my career.
